Raman Kumar, Managing Director, Al-Futtaim Logistics said: “Moving and storing temperature-sensitive packaged food and beverages requires continuous commitment and dedication to the highest quality standards. Our operational precision maximises replenishments for our clients, while optimising their supply chain cost effectiveness, which has become even more important to our customers in today’s market conditions. I would like to thank our associates, loyal customers and the management team for their continued support.”

Al-Futtaim Logistics operates a state-of-the-art, multi-temperature cold storage warehousing facility located in the Jebel Ali South Free Zone. With temperatures ranging from +18°C to -22°C, the centre offers a scalable space to meet the needs of customers and incorporates world-class warehouse management technology.

The facility boasts unique features such as product attribute capture methods combined with double-deep storage, which optimises space utilisation and enables high throughput. Designed for piece, as well as pallet picking, the cold storage also provides value-added activities such as product regulatory compliance checks, date coding, and Arabic labelling to cater to ‘speed-to-market’ orders.

The facility also comprises a dedicated on-site office for local authorities, which fast-tracks local registration processes. Food sample inspections ensure product integrity and compliance with stringent municipality standards, including ISO Food Safety Management practices.

As an integrated 3PL service provider, Al-Futtaim Logistics offers time-critical air freight and direct store deliveries in multi-compartmentalised, temperature-controlled vehicles which provide end-to-end transparency on product condition from door-to-door.  Al-Futtaim Logistics’ fleet is fitted with vehicle-monitoring technology to ensure optimum temperature integrity for consumers. Solutions also include local services for customers who require product registration and documentation services, all from a single 3PL.
